Welcome to my blog!
"The yogi renounces all that takes him away from the Lord. He renounces his own desires, knowing that all inspiration and right action come from the Lord. He renounces those who oppose the work of the Lord, those who spread demonic ideas and who merely talk of moral values but do not practise them." - B.K.S. Iyengar

Epilogue
I have come to realize that my brief friendship with the Scientologist has done me more harm than I ever imagined. It seems to me that the Scientologist mentioned here has been doing his dirty work through my "friends", strangers and even my family, while infecting them with this social disease in the process. If I find out that he has done any physcial harm to any of my family members (such as sexual molestation of minors) I will make damn sure that he is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and beyond that, I will push for the death penalty. As you can see, this is NO LAUGHING MATTER. Scientologists are taught to laugh at everything and remain upbeat, but there are situations which are inherently unfunny. Empathy is what separates us from animals; without empathy there is no telling how many atrocities a single Scientologist can inflict on others and have a good laugh about it as well.
As to the reason why I am no longer blogging, by no means am I buckling under any pressure to come off as a good guy. I know I'm a good guy. It is unfortunate that I have to break ties with the "friends" who have been doing the bidding of the Scientologist, but it is an integral part of my rehabilitation. Even before I read the article linked above which prescribes it, I knew I had to break away from them for my own mental and physical well-being. The blog isn't going anywhere. It will be here for all to read for as long as Blogger will allow it to remain inactive. I simply feel that the blog has served its purpose, and that adding trivial, unimportant blurbs to it will detract from that purpose. I am fortunate that I have yoga to center me. It literally is the cure, and I pray that my worst fears about my family are not true because there will be hell to pay. Am I sorry for ever befriending that Scientologist? Um...YEAH.

Rebirth (a.k.a. Final Blog)
In other news, it has been brought to my attention that the psychopaths are not letting up on their scheming, lying, conspiring, and manipulations. It has also become clear to me that some people I thought I could trust were in fact carrying on the work of the psychopaths by proxy, but it's all for the best because I see now that I have to make a clean break from everyone involved. I would rather have a few excellent friends around me than a whole bunch of rotten ones.
I have been told that by writing this blog, I come across as the bad guy. I was under the impression that writing personal experiences was what blogging was all about. Every last word in this blog has been the God-honest truth, and if a single person has learned something from the horrid experiences I've had, this blog has served its purpose. I will never EVER apologize for ANYTHING I wrote. The truth doesn't have to hide. The truth doesn't have to work in secret, and honest people have nothing to fear.
I will continue to express myself through song. Anyone can check up on me at nikoeternal.com. My latest song, "Hold-Up (High Noon)" is coming soon. It's a rocker with a trip-hop beat. This blog is done and the rebirth of Niko has begun.

Scientology- A Warning (a.k.a. Please Help)
"All men are your slaves" -- L. Ron Hubbard
This post is based upon these articles from BBC news, Reader's Digest and Time magazine, as well as Wikipedia the free online encyclopedia, a nationally televised documentary, a news program, the book "Dianetics" by L. Ron Hubbard, and my own experiences with a Scientologist. I will present some key facts here, but for the full experience, please read the articles linked above, and do your own research.
Here are some things you should know:
1. L. Ron Hubbard was a science fiction writer who decided that he would practice his own form of psychotherapy with a fake doctorate, and no license. In 1971, a federal court ruled that his medical claims were bogus, and in response, Scientology became a "religion". Fed up with having to answer to any government, he decided he would live on his yacht in international waters with his followers serving him, in essence, as slaves.
2. "Dianetics" is a book which serves as a promotional tool for, and introduction to Scientology. In the book, L. Ron Hubbard will soon have you, at the very least, wondering if your mother tried to abort you when you were a fetus in the womb with a clothes hanger. This is how the entrapment of your mind begins. He makes you believe that you were unwanted even before you were born, but for a price, Scientology wants you and will "help you".
3. The services of the "Church" of Scientology cost anywhere between $175 to hundreds of thousands of dollars per session.
4. Scientology uses various methods of persuasion, including, but not limited to: authoritative hypnosis (where a Scientologist takes an authoritative stance and tells you what you should believe), observational learning (where one learns by observing and patterning themselves after the Scientologist), classical conditioning (where a stimulus elicits a response), cognitive social learning (where your thoughts and inner personal experiences are used for learning purposes), and good old-fashioned bullying.

Some time after befriending Steve, he revealed to me that he was a Scientologist. Fortunately, I had already heard negative things about Scientology from ABC's television news program 20/20. I asked Steve about Lisa McPherson, (a young lady who died under the care of the Church of Scientology after being in a car accident, and removed from the hospital by Scientologists who feared she would be put under psychiatric care), and he promptly sent me the official Church of Scientology press kit on the subject, which denied the allegations of neglect made by ABC news and Lisa's family. Lisa's family maintains that she wanted to leave the Church of Scientology, and was forcefully removed from the hospital and neglected purposefully.
b.) I personally witnessed Steve using unsolicited authoritative hypnosis on a young, impressionable gay male who immediately repeated a key word in a drone-like, zombie fashion. Immediately I knew there was something devious happening, and I'm quite sure that Steve picked up on my concerns. I'm sure that when he saw my face, he began to classify me as what the Scientologists refer to as a "Suppressive Person" or SP for short. An SP is anyone who is suspected of being a potential threat to Scientology. They are subjected to the Scientology practice of "Fair Game" where they "...may be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologists. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed.". Since cutting ties with Steve, I have been defamed, harassed and bullied by strangers, as well as people that I onced considered my friends. Since mentioning the word "scientology" in this blog for the first time this month, my anti-virus picked up a trojan horse on my computer with which my passwords may have been stolen. I am very careful not to get any viruses online, and hardly ever do. I've read a case where scientologists admitted to forging messages in an SP's name stating that she planned to commit suicide. She was quickly, and wrongfully admitted to a psychiatric ward because of this. Also, just last night my doorbell rang at 2:30 AM. Who knows what would have happened had I answered.
c.) Scientologists believe that people suffer from "engrams". Engrams are the results of traumas and unpleasant experiences. They believe that any words heard by victims after trauma are a form of hypnotic suggestion. When I showed resistance to Steve's plans for my life, he punched me (very hard) in the face, and immediately followed this with the ironic, and utterly ridiculous words, "I don't want to hurt you."!
5. Many celebrities have been singing the praises of Scientology recently, but not all are practicing it openly. I have witnessed things like rotating car rims in music videos , which may be a means of hypnotizing the masses and planting subliminal suggestions. Steve LOVES to advertise for Mariah Carey (see her "Loverboy" video, if you're not afraid to after reading this.)Mariah also has been getting a lot of airplay on the radio throughout her career. Many record companies are guilty of the practice of payola, which is paying off Disc Jockeys with money or gifts to play a specific song. Repeated airplay leads to familiarity with songs, and drone-like repetition in your mind. It has also been said that the Church of Scientology buys vast amounts of its own books to keep them on best-seller lists. I've heard that the same applies to the music industry. Former Scientologists have reported that they used to work for celebrity Scientologists without pay.
6. Like all good criminals and criminal organizations, the Church of Scientology operates under a number of names and front groups, including the Church of Spiritual Technology, Sea Org, and Sterling Management Systems. Read all about them in the Time magazine article.
7. Scientology is probably the only "religion" to be investigated for espionage by several governments. Those governments, including the U.S. F.B.I., have raided Scientology offices, and arrested Scientologists for posession of classified government documents.
Scientology is an extremely dangerous business, and cult, which will do everything in its power to destroy you if you stand in its way. I ask you to educate yourselves about it and tell everyone you know as well. When you see young people on street corners and in subway stations sitting at tables with stacks of the book "Dianetics" and signs offering free stress tests, run the other way! I am currently looking into support groups or anything that can help me get out of this mess. I am looking here. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.
